Sedu beauty tips step by step

:
The Sedu hair straightening method is done with a Sedu straightening iron, which has ceramic plates an inch to an inch and a half wide. There are thicker plates to be used with longer-length hair and there are thinner ceramic plates to use with shorter hair. Quite a bit of information regarding this can be found on the Internet.

Imagine straightening your hair without ruining it with harmful chemicals or without it snagging or the ends breaking off. The Sedu hair straightener has four different heat settings which help you straighten your hair within only about 15 to 20 minutes. Furthermore, if you don’t know if you want straight hair for the rest of your life the Sedu straightener can help you see what you would look like with straight hair before making a commitment to having your hair permanently chemically treated in a salon, or even at home.

If you choose to have your hair permanently straightened, you can do that too but keep in mind that you should do a strand test to make sure your hair can handle the straightening chemicals. That would be done by either you or your hair stylist. Then you would have to put on a protective cream in order to shield your hair from the chemicals being used, and afterwards add a relaxant cream. You would not have to redo your hair if you use a chemical treatment, but the steps to having it done (or doing it yourself) are more extensive, and it is riskier than just using a Sedu straightener.

The Sedu Ceramic Hair Straightener can create more temporary styles and you can have a new style every single day if you want. Some days you could add a little curl to it and other days you can have it completely straight and it would not remain permanently. You can also apply a variety of different styles after receiving a chemical hair straightening treatment, but again, it is more risky when you attempt to use harmful chemicals in your hair.

There are easy steps to apply when attempting to apply a Sedu Ceramic hair straightening style. Those steps are as follows:

Start out with clean, wet, hair
Apply a small amount of styling product such as mousse or gel to your hair
Dry your hair, combing downward for approximately 15 minutes
Divide your hair into sections and then begin straightening your hair
Style your hair according to your favorite Sadu Styling technique

Many of these looks are modeled after Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson and other great celebrities. Free photos of these celebrities are posted online as well. You can take a look at these photos to use as models for your next Sedu hairstyle.

The offshore money flow solution

It's become more and more difficult to bank in privacy these days, thanks to the witch-hunt of OECD and FATF under the guise of money laundering and terrorism. What a wonderful story to cover the real purpose of their; to take the privacy away from people, to control and to endlessly supervise!

Fortunately there still are a few opportunities left for us, who value financial privacy. These precisely planned strategies, which have been used for decades, have worked for people from all walks of life. For people, who has decided to keep what belongs to them and not to hand it over for greed goverments, ex-lovers, creditors etc. But no matter how good the strategy is, if you are a bigmounth and like to brag with your fancy overseas banking solutions, the cover is blown sooner than later. So keep your mouth shut and stay under the radar screen.

For the start, you need a so-called Pass-Through Account. The most important feature of this account is secrecy, it's paramount. This account must be opened in a jurisdiction with a bullet-proof banking secrecy laws. Bullet-proof really isn't the case anymore, unfortunately, as way too many so called tax havens have been forced to give away information. But it still is possible to open an anonymous bank account. Even if the banking secrecy laws fail under the pressure of "Big Boys", the "bureau-rats" still don't know who's the owner of the account. So, you are safe from the very beginning!

This first account is the one you make known to your clients and business associates. You will receive all the incoming funds from and send the outgoing funds to the outside World. As the name says, and this is essential to remembet, this account is not to store money. Because of that, you don't have to be too concerner about the long-term stability of the bank and jurisdiction involved. This fact enables you to use tiny, private banks, which offer the best secrecy and confidentally. Over and above you get the most personalized service!

The second account you will need, is called Stash Account. The most important feature of this account is stability. The Stash Account must be opened in a stable, first world jurisdiction and in a well known bank. This is the account you send your profits to as soon as they arrive in your Pass-Through account. You store your money here long-term, send it off to offshore investments or shift it into spend and savings accounts. The existence of Stash Account is a complete secret! You tell nobody! Never, ever!

The third account you need, is Spend Account. Here the accessibility is the key feature. Sometime you might want to withdraw your offshore profits in cash. Even if you have multiply income streams onshore, you must always be prepared for emergencies and have an access to your offshore funds. Because of that, you will open Spend Account at a bank that gives you the best selection of

debit and credit cards and also a proper online banking access.

When you have opened these three accounts, you are ready to start fighting for your privacy. And the best part is, that you can win the fight, really! It just takes a little research and the best partners.

Acne treatments top nine remedies

Here are arguably the top nine acne treatments ...

Most people want to get rid of acne forever, and never be bothered with zits and blackheads again. The problem can be embarrassing and hard to control, especially among teenagers, who almost always suffer from some sort of acne. Acne is a part of adolescence and cannot be gotten rid of entirely, but it can be controlled and the effects lessened.

Here are the top nine acne treatments :

1. First, while the old myth that fried foods and chocolate has been disproved, eating right and having good nutrition helps the body and strengthens the immune system, so proper diet is still recommended. Eating whole grains, vegetables, lean meats, fruits and only limited dairy products can help. Also made sure that you are getting enough vitamins and minerals in your diet. It might be necessary take a good quality vitamin supplement. Along with a healthy diet, getting plenty of exercise will go a long way to good health in general and a healthy immune system. Moderate amounts of exercise three times a week will improve health. Avoiding smoking, alcohol and dangerous drugs is a given.

2. Next, it is important to practice proper hygiene. There is an old myth that says acne comes from bad hygiene, and that is not true, but acne will certainly take advantage of chances to grow. One of the causes of acne is a bacterium on and under the skin. Moderate washing will help. Also exfoliating with a mild over the counter exfoliate helps many people.

3. Next, take a look at the topical antibiotics and antibacterial agents available in many of the over the counter medications and washes sold to help acne. The good ones may contain Benzoyl peroxide, the most common acne treatment available without a doctor’s prescription. It kills the bacteria and the pimples do not develop a resistance to the medication. For this reason Benzoyl peroxide will not loose its effectiveness in fighting and killing bacteria. If using it, begin with a low concentration and work up. Be sure when you buy it that it is non-comedogenic, which means that the medication will not clog the pores. If you are into natural remedies, tea tree oil is a popular natural remedy that works the same way Benzoyl peroxide works, but is less irritating to the skin.

4. Another over the counter acne remedy that works and is popular is salicylic acid. Salicylic acid unplugs the pores and helps to get rid of dead skin cells, which attract bacteria and make acne worse. There are many good over the counter remedies available that contain salicylic acid and it is good to use it in conjunction with Benzoyl peroxide. The two make a good two-fisted team.

5. Sulfur works in many ways like Benzoyl peroxide. It is not as widely used, however, it is believed to be not quite as effective. However, if for some reason you cannot use tea tree oil or Benzoyl peroxide, the by all means give sulfur a try.

6. Glycolic acid is another ingredient that works. It gets rid of dead skin and it stimulates the production of new cells, which many believe will help unclog pores.

7. Light therapy and acupuncture are two natural remedies that have their fans. Acupuncture also usually involves changing diet and lifestyle and according to the practitioners who use it can cure the root causes of acne. Light therapy is expensive, but for many very helpful. It involves treatments of light in wavelength that many believe kills bacteria, and if it doesn’t work, at least does no harm because light at the wavelength used is not harmful to skin.

8. If the above remedies are not making a visible difference, visiting a doctor can result in prescriptions for antibiotics that are known to be effective. Erythromycin, Benzaclin, Duac, benzamycn, Sodium Sulfacetamide, and aazelic acid cream all work for many people. Tetracycline and the related cycline drugs also kill the bacteria when taken orally and help many.

9. Still the best cure for acne is simply age. Most people outgrow acne when they get through puberty and get into their early twenties. For some it sticks around a little longer, but with adulthood it usually goes away. But the good nutrition and hygiene habits you gain in fighting acne will stay with you and benefit you for a lifetime.

Of course, it is always best to see your family doctor to get their opinion. If necessary, they'll refer you to a Dermatologist who will be able to help you.

How to combat constipation

In persons who are fairly normal these changes may be brought about very quickly by regulation of the diet and a voluntary effort to move the bowels after each meal; but in persons who have been chronically constipated for years, other measures are necessary. Means must be employed to combat chronic constipation systematically and continuously. It is not proper, how-ever, to resort to the habitual use of laxative drugs, such as castor oil, cascara sagrada, senna, etc. Salines and even laxative mineral waters must be avoided. All of these things do harm. They invariably aggravate the spastic condition of the descending colon almost always present.

Laxative drugs also produce an exaggeration of the anti-peristaltic movements, which begin in the transverse colon and travel backward toward the cecum. These movements are natural during digestion but do not interfere with the periodical movement of the intestinal contents. Colitis, rectal constipation and especially the use of laxative drugs greatly exaggerate this anti-peristaltic action and so increase the tendency to stasis in the cecum and the ascending part of the colon. It appears to be more than probable that this exaggerated anti-peristalsis set up by mechanical obstacles to normal bowel function existing in the distal colon is the chief cause of dilatation of the cecum and incompetency of the ileocecal valve, which is brought about by the over-distention of the cecum.

Bran and Paraffin

In the great majority of cases of constipation, even very obstinate cases, in which a natural movement of the bowels has not occurred in many years, the difficulty may be quickly over-come by increasing the bulk of the food intake and by adding a lubricant in the form of paraffin oil. The modern diet in civilized countries is by far too highly concentrated. The human intestine is adapted to a bulky diet. The average bill of fare leaves practically no residue after the digestive process is completed. This fault may be easily corrected by the addition of sterilized wheat bran in sufficient amount and by the free use of fresh fruits and green vegetables.

For normal persons living on a biologic diet bran would not be necessary, but persons who have been for years constipated have crippled colons, the colon is dilated and elongated, its muscular walls are weakened by long continued over-distention, and the mechanical stimulus furnished by a very bulky dietary is essential,

Such colons are also crippled by degeneration of the glands that normally furnish an abundance of lubricating mucus. This is particularly true in cases in which the appendix is diseased or has been removed but is also true in practically all cases of chronic constipation. This permanent deficiency may be compensated for by the use of paraffin oil which acts purely in a mechanical way, lubricating the intestinal wall so as to facilitate the onward movement of the colon contents. One or two tablespoonfuls of bran and one-half ounce to two ounces of paraffin oil taken at every meal will usually secure three or four bowel movements daily. The bran should be mixed through the meal. The paraffin oil should be taken a short time before the meal. Neither the oil nor the bran act as laxatives in the ordinary sense. They do not irritate the bowel. The bran stimulates the bowel not by irritation but by a sort of titillation, hastening peristalsis in both the small intestine and the colon, and by hurrying on the unused residues of each meal leaving no opportunity for the development of putrefactive changes. Bran also excites the intestine to action by distending it, and by the same means stimulates the activity of the glands which furnish the digestive fluids.

Lovebird

For the last 8 years I've worked as a freelance record producer/sound engineer and before you ask, no, I haven't worked with anyone famous and no, I can't make a CD for your young Bennie who's just started playing the Harp but is "very good" and "even better" just after he tunes it... For those of you out there who think record production is all about fast cars, girls and mountains of money, please allow me to provide a reality-check. Yes, for a select few people, the high-rolling, big-budget, hit-making factory provides a very seductive lifestyle, but for the other 99.99% of us it's months of toil in crappy studios with small independent artists protectively mothering large, dependent egos.

Despite the economic and social disparity, there is one advantage to being one of the "small fish" in the big pond called the Music Industry.

The Lovebird.

A Lovebird is always an amateur who has humbly come into the studio to record something special for a loved one. They'll explain that it's for a birthday, wedding anniversary, or Valentine's Day, and there's an old song that means a lot to them that they'd like to record as best they can. Often they'd just bring the song in on a CD and ask me to remove the vocals and do a quick recording of them singing to that track. I'd record it as best I could, add a few effects and burn it to a CD for them.

Lovebirds used to come into the studio all the time. It was both a pleasure and an honor to watch them sing their hearts out; however, over time I noticed that they were coming in less and less. Initially, I feared that the gentle art of the serenade was dying, but as it turns out, they were still actively recording their own personal songs, but from the comfort of home, as opposed to the often intimidating domain of the recording studio.

Whenever a lovebird used to come into the studio, they were always surprised when they saw how quick and easy it was. I guess it was only a matter of time before someone like www. audio4fun. com came along and made the whole process possible at home.

Music Morpher Gold does everything I can do in the studio...without the studio. They've made it so easy that anyone can start recording in minutes! What's more, for this Valentine's Day they've cut the price by 50% to $49.95...It's enough to make any grown sound engineer cry. If you want to make an impression this Valentine's Day, here is your big chance. Be a Lovebird this time around; sing your heart out and make someone feel very special.

Low interest rate mortgage refinance loan benefits of a no obligation refi quote

Getting a low rate refi loan may decrease your monthly mortgage payments by a few hundred dollars. For this matter, homeowners consider obtaining the lowest possible rate a primary concern. Before accepting a refi offer, researching and comparing offers are essential.

Benefits of a Low Rate Mortgage Refi Loan

If you are hoping to save money on your mortgage payment, refinancing your current mortgage is the solution. Refinancing is not ideal for everyone. Prior to applying for a new loan, take into consideration current mortgage rate, length of time you plan on residing in your home, and credit score.

If your current mortgage rate is comparably low, perhaps one percentage point higher than current averages, you may not realize huge savings from a refinancing. Moreover, if your credit is less than perfect, some lenders may not offer superb low rates.

Secondly, refinancing benefits homeowners who plan on living in their home for more than seven years. If you plan to move in a few years, the closing costs and fees paid will outweigh the savings.

Savvy Buyers Shop Around

If contemplating a refinancing, shop around for the best loan package. No obligation quotes are offered by various lenders. You have the option of choosing a local lender or an online lender. Before making a decision, request a quote from your present mortgage company. This is beneficial for two reasons. One, a good payment record has been established. Two, present lenders may waive some fees. Although current lenders may remit a great offer, do not make an immediate decision. First, obtain quotes from three additional lenders.

What are Online No-Obligation Quotes?

If you request a quote from an online lender, the lender will assess your stated credit rating, income, desired loan amount, and submit an estimated loan offer. Quotes include terms, interest rate, closing costs, and estimated monthly payments. This way, you can review several loan options before finalizing your decision. After acquiring three additional quotes, compare all four lender offer's side-by-side. Pick the lowest rate mortgage refi loan. Lastly, complete an online application. At this time, the lender will review your credit report and offer a final approval notice.

Drug for bronchitis

Bronchitis: The Drugs That Can Help Treat Bronchitis

Today, there are thousands of drugs available in the market, each with different illnesses to treat. One of the most common illnesses in modern society is respiratory illnesses. You have to consider that there are a lot of kinds of respiratory illnesses. Some are contagious and some are not. There are also different kinds of drugs for different kinds of respiratory illnesses.

The fact that you need a perfectly healthy body in order to function well in your daily activities, you have to know how to properly take care of it or at least know how to deal with it in case you get affected with a disease.

One of the most common diseases today is called bronchitis. This is a form of respiratory illness that can affect anyone at anytime. However, people who live in highly polluted areas, and people who smoke tobacco are usually affected as well as infant, children, the elderly and people who have weak lungs are also prone to bronchitis.

Bronchitis comes in two forms, one is acute bronchitis and the other is chronic bronchitis. Acute bronchitis is a short term bronchitis that requires little treatment. Usually, acute bronchitis doesn’t need any drugs at all. However, there are people who take expectorant in order to improve breathing. Some people take anti-inflammatory drugs to alleviate the symptoms. Sometimes, bronchitis can also congest the sinuses and can be a painful condition. To alleviate the symptom, you can take some nasal decongestant drugs.

Acute bronchitis usually lasts for up to only 10 to 12 days if properly managed and treated. However, it will also vary on the kind of infection that the bronchitis has. If it is a viral infection, you don’t need to take any special drugs to treat it. All you need is plenty of rest, plenty of water, and avoid dusty and highly polluted areas. If you want to alleviate the signs and symptoms of acute bronchitis, you can take some anti-inflammatory drugs, some pain medication, expectorant and nasal decongestant drugs.

However, if the virus is caused by bacterial infection, the doctor will prescribe some antibiotics or antibacterial drugs that will kill the bacteria infecting your bronchial tube and your respiratory system. On rare cases, bronchitis can also be caused by fungal infection and for this your doctor may prescribe antifungal drugs along with other medications to alleviate the signs and symptoms. It is very important to remember that you shouldn’t just but any over-the-counter drugs as you may some allergies and some drugs are dangerous if combined to any other kind of drugs. If you prefer to take medications for your bronchitis, it is important that you should first consult your doctor. He or she will refer to your medical history and find out if you are allergic to any kind of medications. The doctor can also give you prescription on the right combination of drugs and can give you instructions on the proper dosage and the proper time to take it.

In the chronic form of bronchitis, you have to consider that this is a long term treatment that will require long term and well-managed care. Chronic bronchitis will also require you to take different kinds of drugs to help alleviate the signs and symptoms and also help treat the illness.

However, the most important step in treating acute bronchitis is by quitting smoking. If you do this early enough, you can reverse the damage in your lungs. The doctor will also prescribe some medications to help you overcome chronic bronchitis which may include inhaled medicines, such as bronchodilators to open your airway and let you breath easily, steroids, and antibiotics to prevent infection. In some cases, people with chronic bronchitis have low oxygen levels. For this, the doctor may recommend that home oxygen should be used.

The chance for a full recovery for people with chronic bronchitis is poor. Always remember that the key to cure chronic bronchitis is detecting it at its early stages and changing your lifestyle, such as quitting smoking and reducing your alcohol intake.

These are the things that you should remember about bronchitis. Always remember that before you take any drugs, you should first consult your doctor who will tell you about the proper dosage and the proper drugs to take.

Tips for the first time atv buyer

Tips for the First Time ATV Buyer

If you are considering purchasing an ATV, you should be aware that they are a big investment. Aside form the initial cost that can run from a few hundred dollars for an older used model to $5,000 or more, you also have top maintain your ATV just like your car. They require oil, gas, and eventually you will have to replace broken parts.

Buying an ATV is not a decision to be taken lightly, and you must consider your needs to determine which ATV is right for you. If you are a beginner, you should start with an inexpensive simple model that will give you practice riding. After you are comfortable, you can upgrade to a more advanced model. You will also need safety gear such as a helmet, gloves, and goggles. Some accessories are not necessary for the casual rider such as winches, unless you plan on using your ATV for work purposes.

Before you buy your ATV, think about what you want out of your ATV experience. You may want to ride for fun, to experience the outdoors and be a part of the excitement. You may want to use your ATV to haul things or help with other work such as plowing snow. You may find that your ATV can be both fun and useful. The reason you are purchasing your ATV should be the deciding factor in which type you buy. If you want it for fun, a light model without all the accessories will be fine. If you want it for work purposes, you should look into getting the accessories you need such as a winch, plow, and hitch. You will also be better off going with a heavier model that is designed for work.

The type of engine you want in your ATV is also decided by your purpose. A 2-stroke engine takes a mix of oil and gas and is better fit for riding for fun. A 4-stroke engine is better suited as a work horse. You will also have to decide which type of transmission you want, an automatic or manual. ATV's with an automatic transmission are easier to drive just like automatic cars.

If you have experience driving a manual transmission, you may prefer the control that a manual transmission offers. You can also get a semi-automatic transmission, which is a cross between the two. You can get advice on which type is best for you from your ATV dealership or online.

You will also have to decide which type of starter you want. Some ATV's have an electric start, some have a kick start, and some have a pill start. While this is not the most important factor in choosing an ATV, it can make a difference. If you prefer ease of use, an electric push button start is best for you. With a kick start you have to push a lever with your foot located on the bottom of your ATV.

A pull start operates the same way as a lawnmower where you pull a cord to start you ATV. You should do plenty of research before deciding and be sure to get an ATV that fits your needs.

How to choose your perfect engagement ring

If you are planning on proposing to that special someone then you have a big decision ahead of you. There is always a bit of nervousness that comes with this life changing event and that is completely normal. You want everything to be perfect and above all else, you need the timing to work with the big question. But in order to do this you need the perfect engagement ring. This can be some tricky business for those that have not ventured into this realm before and it is hard to trust the work on commission sales clerks at the jewelry store to say the least. There are a few rules of thumb that you should follow to make the process a bit easier.

The perfect engagement ring should cost an equal amount to three months salary. This may sound like a bit much but that is the way that it has been for quite a while now. This comes from the diamond cartels that control the market and they know how to price a diamond. So in essence, if you make $1000 a month then the engagement ring that you select should cost around $3000. Of course you should always go with what you can afford and it is not a good idea to go into a marriage with a huge credit card bill from the purchase, so make a responsible decision but remember that this is a one time deal.

The perfect engagement ring should also reflect upon the person wearing it as well. If the person that you are purchasing it for prefers gold then you should not go with silver or platinum. You do not want something that will stand out or look bad on the persons finger to say the least. Also you want to make sure that the quality of the metal is good. There are some handsome looking rings floating around that are actually poorly made and the last thing that you want is some thing that will fall apart before the big day.

Be very aware of the cut and clarity of the stone. The size does not matter as much as the quality of the diamond in question. If you have a large stone that is extremely flawed then you have one of the worst bargains in the world. Make sure that you are getting only the best quality for the money that you are spending.

Locations for metal detecting finds

Old and rare toys and games are a particular collector’s favorite, as are newer ones that are connected with popular films and TV series. The latter need to be in really good condition. 20 years ago, as a kid in his mid-teens, my cousin was buying Star Wars figures and keeping them sealed in their packets. They are now worth up to 250 dollars each!

While taking a creative writing course in college, my instructor introduced me to an invaluable tool--a Writer's Treasure Chest. This tool is easy and fun to make and will come in handy time and again throughout your writing life.

When you think of treasure hunting, maybe gold coins and precious stones come to mind, but it doesn't end there. You can start in your own attic to see what treasures you find. Then you can check out some of the more unusual ways to go treasure hunting. However I also have friends or have found items running into hundreds of thousands of pounds. I suppose at the end of the day there is an element of luck. I'm sure that those who Pan Gold and do Wreck Hunting or Bottle Digging will say exactly the same.

When you are very clear about what you want, you attract the energy and open yourself to opportunities you wouldn’t have been receptive to before.

Promising Locations for Metal Detecting Finds

If you're at a loss on where to start searching for buried treasures, get your metal detectors and flashlights ready and blinking because we have several suggestions in mind for you:

National Forests - It's a good place to start exploring because most rangers are courteous and quite willing to help metal detecting aficionados like you. You're also allowed to own any finds you detect as long as it's less than 50 years old, file a claim, and even prospect for gold.

Indian Reservation - These are very promising locations, indeed, but you have to be Cheyenne to legally search in Cheyenne land and so forth. If you don't look Indian, you'd better find someone who is.

Backyards - Yes, just your very own backyard could easily do, especially if it's OLD land. You can also ask your neighbors' and friends' permissions if they're willing to let you delve into their backyards. Promise them a share of your finds if that will help. Lastly, it's always best to procure written consent to avoid future complications.

Beaches - With the sun, the breeze, and the waves doing their things, it's no wonder that beach lovers are so caught up with nature's beauty that they tend to misplace and lose some of their valuables.

Photo Challenge Treasure Hunt in Sussex is a wonderful team building exercise that offers ultimate scope to explore and rediscover famous places of Sussex and its surroundings.

Down in that treasure chest also lurks some of your lost potential from childhood, the things you could have done; the ways you could have developed if only things had been different.

There are portable walk-through metal detectors that can be easily installed and stored away. They are compact and lightweight and usually require no initial calibration. Prices of walk-through metal detectors range from $3000 to $6000 depending upon the brand and features provided. The general idea is to play treasure hunt on whatever scale you feel the recipient can manage...E. g. Young children from 4 to 10 would probably be restricted to the house and garden. Teenagers may like to travel to local malls or shops..for adults unless you have a rocket to play with ..the world is big enough!!

Hidden in a warehouse in the small town where I used to live, was a mountain of old boxes. It was the leftover inventory of a wooden clock factory that had gone out of business. The owner of the clocks had let them sit there for at least ten years. Finally someone explained to him how he could sell them on Ebay, and he realized the treasure he was sitting on.

Playgrounds - Be sure to search specifically on grassy or shady areas as these are the places that people mostly frequent, and consequently, lose things. Finding a toy isn't that bad if it happens to be a charming limited edition, eh?

Fields - It's best to head out for the fields after a heavy downpour because you're more likely to discover hidden riches at these times. Don't forget to wear proper rain gear or you'll be too sick afterwards to enjoy your finds!

Riverbanks - Drop by at your local library and research for riverbanks that were once the site for ferry launchings or important social events. These particular spots are more likely to yield delightful finds than other places.

Cemeteries - Most cemeteries are built on very old lands. If your metal detector happens to indicate prospective finds under the grave, however, do respect the dead, and move on to another path.

A Word of Warning

Wherever you choose to rummage around for long-forgotten and long-lost booty, make sure that you have legal permission to do so at that place. Ask around if authorization, a license, or any legal document is required before you can hunt to all your heart's content.

Derbyshire, with its scenic beauty and perfect backdrop for exciting outdoor activities looks like the best place for planning your corporate events.

However, there is a simple tool that anyone can make that will make war recovery easier. simply taken old 5 gal. drywall bucket and cut out the bottom. also remove the handle as it is metal and may interfere.

When looking for a find, what should you look for? If you can already imagine the object taking on a new life as something else, thats great.

Recognizing that your own treasure chest of positive memories and capacities are more precious to you than any winnings is what THE ENCHANTED SELF is all about. When we begin to acknowledge that we ourselves are our own messengers of enchantment, then we can begin to brighten our lives and the lives around us. Find out more about metal detectors at metal detector info site.

Metal detecting is an exciting, adventurous, and fun way of finding valuables or items of sentimental value to us. Using the metal detector in places such as parks, beaches, woods, playgrounds, fields, riverbanks, old cellars and graveyards, even on our own backyards is a good way of bonding with families, friends, and colleagues. It is a fascinating hobby, too.

No down payment poor credit mortgage loan why use a sub prime mortgage lender

Getting a home loan with no money down and poor credit is feasible. Fortunately, various lenders specialize in mortgage loans for all credit types and situations. Sub prime lenders are unique and helpful. Finding a suitable sub prime lender is easy. If using an online mortgage broker, you will have access to several lenders eager to offer loans to high risk applicants.

Sub Prime Mortgage Lenders vs. Traditional Lenders and Banks

Even though several traditional mortgage lenders have begun offering sub prime loans, a large percentage of these lenders prefer applicants with good credit scores and large down payments. Fortunately, sub prime mortgage lenders recognize how difficult it is to maintain a good credit rating and save money for a home purchase. Hence, these lenders are willing to take a chance and give people the opportunity to achieve their dream of homeownership.

If your credit score is above 670, you may qualify for a prime rate mortgage. This involves considerably low interest rates and lower fees. Sub prime lenders work with low credit applicants. There are many types of sub prime lenders. Fraudulent lenders will take advantage of applicants and charge excessive fees. Those who do not compare lenders may accept a bad loan. On the other hand, reputable lenders offer comparably low rates. Additionally, applicants may obtain down payment and closing cost assistance.

The Quickest Way to Get a Sub Prime Loan

If searching for a sub prime lender, the internet is a valuable resource. Various mortgage loan companies offer online applications and quick responses. Getting approved online is simple and convenient. Moreover, getting multiple quotes from at least four different lenders is possible through a mortgage broker.

Applicants simply complete an online quote request, and within minutes a broker will email quotes. Broker quotes afford the opportunity to make side-by-side comparisons. Each quote includes detail loan information such as loan terms (15 or 30 years), interest rate (low fixed rate, ARM, interest-only), mortgage payment, and closing costs. Hence, applicants are aware of all costs before accepting a loan offer.

After carefully considering the pro's and con's of each offer, applicants must select a quote and complete the loan approval process.

I’m going to subtitle this article: “The Rest of the Story,” because as I sit here I realize that I really love many of the non-check benefits of MLM. These benefits sometimes cost money --- lots of money --- but not for me.

You see, our company picks up the tab on two, all-expense-paid, incentive vacations a year. These are five star events that are truly trips that money couldn’t buy, because the president of our company previews the locations, the restaurants, and the excursions. Everyone loves them, and that is guaranteed!

I remember flying to Maui for my third all-expensive Maui experience. I had learned to book my massages, facials and body wraps before I went. I’d also learned that Hawaiian fabric starts out looking gaudy and atrocious, but you gradually become sort of anesthetized to it and begin to erroneously think you like it --- until you hit the mainland, where it continues --- year after year --- to look ridiculous. When you unpack your bags (or watch your maid unpack your bags), you continue wondering if maybe all that pineapple clouded your judgment.

Well, mementos and local clothing aside, the trips are fabulous. What’s not to love --- France, England, cruises, Monte Carlo, Ireland, and Maui? I would gladly put forth significant effort just to be on the trip, even if I never made a dime!

On some trips, we are presented incentive, spending-money bonuses too. There is something about having your company pay for your luxurious lifestyle that is intoxicating. But, trips are not all! We’ve earned not one, not two, but dozens of award trophies and prizes. We’ve won everything from Waterford crystal to televisions.

Another of my favorite non-money benefits is the opportunity to work with great people. Some of them have become friends that we talk with every day and look forward to seeing on the beaches of the world. These friends are scattered all over the world, but most particularly, all over the United States, so we are able to experience all of the cultural nuances of this great country with friends. When I go to Seattle, I have seafood. When I’m in Buffalo, I have “wings”. In Dallas, Mexican food is the thing, and on Maui, it’s a luau.

In addition to enjoying culinary treats, we also experience whatever special things each area has to offer, whether mountain lakes, antique malls, spa treatments, football games, or churches. Network marketing has given us a cultural appreciation and exposure that I never dreamed possible. Before I joined MLM, I had only flown a couple of times. Now I’ve logged well over a million miles in the air!

But, perhaps one of the greatest intangibles is the joy of seeing some spectacular magazine, television and newspaper coverage. Sometimes I really have to pinch myself because it is so exciting to be a part of this industry.

I remember the day that I flipped open a magazine that came in the mail, and THERE IT WAS --- a “life-size” picture of my grandson and me, side-barring an incredible interview that I had forgotten about doing. I knew I had lent the magazine a number of great pictures, but I was totally surprised to see what they had done with those pictures.

Another of those non-financial benefits is being able to have people who, not only know WHO we are, but also HOW we are doing and what program we are working. Once in awhile someone calls and says, “You don’t know who I am, but I know you, and I’d like to join your organization.”

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the benefit of the personal growth I’ve experienced. I’m happier than I have ever been, and I’m now living life on my terms. I hope this article has gotten you thinking. I realize as I write this, that some of my fondest memories in this business had nothing to do with money. They had to do with people, places, or experiences. Next time you are evaluating the success you’re having in your MLM, don’t forget the intangibles . . . for they might provide all the difference.

20 viral marketing goes mobile

Viral Marketing Goes Mobile

Mobile devices, mobile phones and PDA’s are one of the last great frontiers of viral advertisement opportunities. However, we have become experts at filtering everything, our air and water, our e-mail and pop-ups, and our mobile devices as well. We are good at filtering.

The very idea of unwanted advertising streaming through our Blackberries is abhorrent. Mobile devices are the ultimate opt-in medium and, therefore, a great way for marketers to connect with users…if that’s what the users want. “WANT” is the key word here. How should marketers approach the medium?

There are three main ways to achieve this. They are:

1. Offer exclusive content. Anyone can offer ring tones. It’s the unique content, such as exclusive mobile images of new brand concepts, that drives interest and calls them out in other media like e-mail campaigns, newsletters, websites, etc. So a wireless campaign is most effective when it offers exclusive content for wireless devices.

2. Make it useful and timely. Think about what would be handy and helpful to have on a mobile device. Last year, for example, Food Network enabled Sprint customers to download shopping lists for their Thanksgiving dinners. There was a lot of “Sprint-envy” going around among non-sprint customers.

3. Clearly define objectives. Usually, one of two business objectives drives successful mobile experiences: incremental revenue of brand intimacy. On the intimacy factor, a text message usually takes priority over almost any other form of communication. Why? Because we haven’t yet been saturated with mobile spam, and this is what causes us to prioritize wireless messaging over voice.

Mobile marketing has been out there for a while but we marketers have new territory to explore. Video offers fantastic opportunities for engagement. Consumers already bypass their filters for highly useful or entertaining content and will do so for rich exclusive, compelling content.

The history of mountain biking 297

The History Of Mountain Biking

There is a lot of history and information out there

in regards to the history and origins of mountain

biking, with some being recognized and some that

depends on who has the best firm of public relations.

Some say that mountain biking began with the Buffalo

Soldiers, which was a turn of the century infantry

who customized bikes to carry gear over the rough and

tough terrain. They began in August of 1896, over

the course of 800 miles. Their mission was simple -

to test bikes for military use in the toughest of

terrain.

Others say it was the Velo Cross Club of France

that started mountain biking. The club was comprised

of 20 young bikers from Paris, who between 1951 and

1956 developed a sport that resembles present day

mountain biking.

It could have also been John Finley Scott, who was

the first mountain biker in the U. S. In 1953 he

constructed what he called a "Woodsie Bike", using

a diamond frame, balloon tires, flat handle bars,

and cantilever brakes. He was more than 20 years

ahead of his time. Even though he remained an off

road enthusiast, there were many at that time who

didn't share that same passion.

Today, we believe that the history of the mountain

bike is most apparent in Northern California. There

are a few areas that claim to be the first community

for mountain biking, although each and every history

book will tell you Marin County.

The sport of mountain biking has taken many twists

and turns over the last several hundred years. Even

though there are many that say different things about

the history and the beginning, we know one thing

for sure - one thing has led to another and the

sport of mountain biking was born.

Advantages of motivational posters in your home or office

Tim is suffering from a bout of depression. The reason - Tim always dreamt of becoming an economist. However, one year down the line Tim feels that he is not as talented as others. His analytical skills are poor and he is not strong in quantitative analysis. He is sure that his dream will remain a dream.

One day, while on his way to college, he comes across two posters. The first one reads, “"Cherish your dreams and aspirations. They are the blueprint of your achievements.” and the second poster says, “What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” Tim returns, organizes his study schedule and starts working hard. When it is time for the results, Tim is a surprise topper. So, what caused this sudden change in Tim? Well, the posters seemed to have an effect on Tim. Now, this is what a well-written motivational poster can do for you.

Motivational posters have become a rage. Be it a school, home or an office, the walls seem to be flaunting positive messages. The important question is ‘what are the advantages of putting up motivational posters?’

Words, when used in a correct way, can melt the stoniest of hearts. Words are known to have triggered mass movements, which changed the course of history. Who can ever forgot Martin Luther King and his words ‘I have a dream’? Motivational posters, too, make use of concise words to deliver the message in the most striking of manners. Hence, they tend to create a rather strong impact on the mind. They have also initiated actions in many cases.

Motivational posters put up in office or home have a kind of hammering effect. A motivational poster on the wall of an office remains in sight for a long time. For instance, if you put a poster near the entrance lobby, employees will see the poster every time they enter and leave the office. The message, too, will remain in front of their eyes and hence after some time, it will begin to produce effect in some of the employees. This is akin to brain washing, albeit a positive one.

Motivational posters also add a class to your office and homes. It is like having your own personal style statement. For instance, if your office cabin displays the following poster “Focus on your goals and let nothing get in the way of your dreams”; chances are that you are a focused person. Motivational posters are a great of medium of displaying your beliefs with йlan.

The other advantage of motivational posters is that most of them have a great picture or natural scene to compliment the words. Thus, they add a beauty to your otherwise drab walls. Many motivational posters are a treat to watch and definitely enhance the look of your office or home.

The biggest advantage of having a motivational poster on the walls of homes and offices is that they induce a sense of optimism if things are not going well, a sense of love if you

Recognizing changing symptoms in parkinson s disease may help patients to better manage their condition

Parkinson's disease (PD) affects about 1 million people in the United States and 50,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. As researchers learn more about the disease, improved treatment options are possible.

That's good news for people like Paul Ramirez, a World War II veteran and avid dancer. He was first diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1999, after his wife saw him shuffling his feet during their daily neighborhood walks. Like many people with PD, Ramirez was treated with a traditional levodopa medication to manage his symptoms.

Levodopa is the most widely used symptomatic PD treatment and has remained the "gold standard" of care for nearly 40 years. The majority of people with PD eventually need levodopa treatment to control their symptoms, even if they begin their therapy with other medications. After several years of treatment with levodopa, however, people with PD may see changes in the way their medication controls their symptoms. Symptoms may return before it is time for the next dose of medication.

For Ramirez, the change in duration of his symptom control became increasingly noticeable after the first two to three years of levodopa treatment. Not only did he find that the onset of daily symptoms was becoming less predictable, he also found that his "off" time was increasing, meaning his motor symptoms, like freezing and slowness of movement, lasted for longer periods of time during each day.

Since Ramirez's PD symptoms were not controlled as long as they could be, he needed to use a walker in order to maintain his balance, which severely limited his ability to participate in the activities that he enjoyed.

"I love to dance, but within a few years of being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, I found that I not only couldn't dance, but many times I was even too weak to walk. It was very frustrating," says Ramirez.

The change in symptom control that he experienced is called "wearing off." Symptoms associated with levodopa therapy "wearing off" can include both motor and nonmotor symptoms. Motor symptoms may include trembling or shaking and nonmotor symptoms may include anxiety or feeling restless. When levodopa medication "wears off," it can make even basic daily activities, such as walking and dressing, difficult for the person with Parkinson's disease.

Ramirez's doctor, Kevin Callerame, M. D., staff Adult Neurologist at the NeuroMedical Center in Baton Rouge, La., says, "The good news is that the motor symptoms of 'wearing off' can be treated with newer levodopa medications that can help increase the time levodopa controls the symptoms of Parkinson's disease."

When Dr. Callerame saw him in the summer of 2004, the physician noticed that he would have frequent freezing episodes.

Dr. Callerame began treating Ramirez with a Parkinson's disease medication called Stalevo® (carbidopa, levodopa and entacapone). Stalevo is an enhanced levodopa medication that combines levodopa with two other components to reduce its side effects and extend its benefits. Stalevo tablets are indicated for certain PD patients who have levodopa-related "wearing off" motor complications.

In the year since Ramirez's medication has changed, Dr. Callerame says, "Ramirez's symptoms have been controlled for four to five hours, versus one to two hours, following each dose of Stalevo." For Ramirez, longer symptom control has enabled him to walk more easily, and that has given him the confidence to try other activities that he once enjoyed.

Dr. Callerame urges people with Parkinson's disease to communicate openly with their doctors because different treatment options may be available. However, in order to treat "wearing off," it must first be identified.

A new, free-of-charge information and resource kit is available for people with Parkinson's disease that can help to identify the signs and symptoms of "wearing off." The kit contains a diary card to track when symptoms come back between doses of medication.

To order a free StEP Kit, call 1-866-STEP-KIT (1-866-783-7548) toll-free or visit www. stepkit. net.

Ramirez's story represents the successful treatment with Stalevo (carbidopa, levodopa and entacapone) of an actual patient with Parkinson's disease and experiencing "wearing off." Because every patient responds differently, results may vary. In a clinical trial, Stalevo provided, on average, 1.4 more hours a day of symptom relief than standard levodopa.

Recognizing the signs and symptoms of "wearing off" can help you manage your Parkinson's disease symptoms.

Important Information for Patients Regarding Stalevo®: Stalevo® (carbidopa, levodopa and entacapone) tablets are indicated for patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). Stalevo is a medicine that can be used instead of carbidopa/levodopa and Comtan® (entacapone) by patients taking those medicines as separate tablets. Depending on levodopa dose and side effects, Stalevo can also be used to replace carbidopa/levodopa when the benefits of levodopa are wearing off. Please ask your health care professional if Stalevo is appropriate for you. Stalevo is supplied as tablets in three strengths: Stalevo 50, containing 12.5 mg carbidopa, 50 mg levodopa and 200 mg entacapone; Stalevo 100, containing 25 mg carbidopa, 100 mg levodopa and 200 mg entacapone; and Stalevo 150, containing 37.5 mg carbidopa, 150 mg levodopa and 200 mg entacapone. The most common side effects of Stalevo are unwanted or uncontrollable movements (known as dyskinesia); nausea; diarrhea; excessive muscle movements (known as hyperkinesia); harmless discoloration of urine, sweat and/or saliva; diminished or slow movements (known as hypokinesia); abdominal pain; dizziness; constipation; fatigue; pain; and hallucinations. Some of the more serious side effects may include severe diarrhea, severe dyskinesia, hallucinations, other mental disturbances, orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure), rhabdomyolysis (a muscle disease), and symptoms resembling neuroleptic malignant syndrome (a condition characterized by fever and muscle stiffness). Tell your health care professional if you have bothersome side effects. He or she can make adjustments that may reduce these effects. You should not quickly lower your Stalevo dose or suddenly stop it altogether. Drugs broken down by the COMT enzyme (e. g., isoproterenol, epinephrine) should be used with caution when taking Stalevo. If you take a nonselective monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor, you should not take Stalevo. Stalevo should not be taken with selegiline at doses higher than 10 mg/day. Because Stalevo contains entacapone, it should not be taken together with Comtan. Be careful using Stalevo if you have severe heart or lung disease; asthma; renal, hepatic or endocrine disease; or a history of heart attacks or ulcers. Do not take Stalevo if you have glaucoma, melanoma or other related medical disorders. Before you take Stalevo, talk to your doctor about any health problems you might have.

Microsoft great plains chicago erp market overview

In this small article we will review Chicago ERP market: Chicago with suburbs, Northwest Indiana, downstate Illinois and St. Luis. Let us begin with small introduction.

Microsoft Business Solutions has recently renamed its products – new unifying brand name will be Microsoft Dynamics. Project Green should end up in interface unification and probably database merging for all former products (Great Plains, Navision, Axapta, Solomon) – but obviously at this point nobody knows the details. So, we will be dealing with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics SL and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Let’s go to the topic and consider the specifics of Chicago Mid-West regional market:

• Downtown Chicago businesses: Here we see Financial, Hospitality, Recruiting & Payroll outsourcing, Retail headquarters, Distributors, Non-for-profit, Government (Cook county offices), Exchange & Brokerage. All these businesses and organizations are very good prospects for Microsoft Great Plains, we will talk about implementation challenges below

• Chicago Suburbs, St. Luis, Northwest Indiana businesses. This region specializes in distribution: metals, recycling, transportation & logistics, light final assembly & manufacturing. St. Luis region has Oil & Gas facilities: Oil Refineries, Power Plants, etc. Downstate Illinois has manufacturing plants: machinery, chemicals, auto assembly (Rockford area)

• Springfield. Government offices plus non-profit organizations: loan processing for farmers, rural communities, agriculture, etc.

• Great Plains ERP. As you should expect, nowadays ERP requires customization and altering to fit unique business needs and considering the specific of Chicagoland you should expect Services, Finance & Distribution modules and custom pieces for Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains: Service Management Suite, integration with Microsoft CRM Sales & Service, Transportation & Logistics custom pieces: settlement report, bill of ladings

• Legacy Applications Integration. Chicago area businesses should be considered as traditional and established ones, this is not a California high tech area (however Rockford is trying to attract high tech businesses). You might need Microsoft Access, Unix, Linux, Java/EJB, Oracle, SAP, Siebel, IBM Lotus Notes/Domino, DBII applications integration and heterogeneous reporting

• Dexterity Customizations. This is very painful question – we know that many businesses had kind of renaissance time at the end of XX century and this was time when you were sold a lot of Great Plains customizations: Dexterity, VBA/Modifier, ReportWriter, VB, ASP. In order to recover and upgrade these custom pieces you need to find Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains Partner who has access to Great Plains Source Code (DYNAMICS. DIC with Dexterity scripts)

Please do not hesitate to call us: 1-866-528-0577, 1-630-961-5918, help@albaspectrum. com

Heart failure frequently asked questions

According to the American Heart Association, nearly five million Americans are living with heart failure and 550,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. Heart failure is a serious condition that often is misunderstood. The questions below are intended to help clear up some misperceptions about this condition and its complications.

Q. What is heart failure?

A. Heart failure does not mean that your heart has stopped or is about to stop. It is a serious condition in which the heart doesn't pump blood through your body as well as it should.

Your heart still beats, but it pumps less nutrient - and oxygen-rich blood to the rest of your body. Because of this, heart failure can make you feel tired or weak. Heart failure also can cause swelling and fluid buildup in your legs, feet and even your lungs. Fluid buildup in your lungs often is referred to as "congestion," which is why heart failure is sometimes called "congestive heart failure (CHF)." At times, patients may require hospitalization to treat a worsening, or an acute episode, of their heart failure symptoms.

Q. What are the symptoms of heart failure?

A. Some symptoms of heart failure include shortness of breath, frequent coughing, increased heart rate, heart palpitations (your heart may feel like it is racing), fatigue, weakness, swollen ankles and legs, loss of appetite and weight gain. Patients who experience acute episodes of their heart failure symptoms also may have extreme shortness of breath that leaves them gasping for air. Since they may have fluid buildup in their lungs, they may feel as though they are drowning.

Q. How are acute episodes of heart failure treated?

A. There are some common intravenous (IV) drugs that are commonly given to patients in hospitals to treat acute episodes of heart failure. They include diuretics, inotropes and IV vasodilators.

Please talk to your healthcare professional for more information.

Bwpb the best paintball gun

Paintball: It’s all about the Gun, Baby!

A paintball gun (also known as paintball marker) is used to mark opposing players with paint. It uses air (carbon dioxide) to force the paintball out of the barrel at the speed of about 300 feet per second. This will cause paintballs to break upon hitting somebody but will only cause mild bruising to a person. This could blind a person, though, thus making it a necessity to wear a face mask or eye protection such as goggles.

There are four types of paintball guns and they are classified according to their firing modes. These are pump action guns, semi-automatic guns, fully automatic guns and ramping-mode guns.

In the early days of paintball, all guns were pump action. Each shot would require the person wanting to shoot to manually pull back the bolt to let a paintball fall in front of it and then manually push forward the bolt to bring the paintball in the position to fire. This was excruciatingly slow when compared to other firing modes used today, but is loved by many people as it teaches the importance of a person’s skill with his gun.

Semi-automatic guns were designed so that when the trigger is pushed down, a shot will be fired and the bolt moves back automatically to load the new paintball in position for the next trigger pull. This allows the player to increase firing frequency and accuracy because he will not have to manually pump the gun.

Fully automatic guns are those that will continue to fire paintballs as long as the trigger is held down. The Tippman SMG was the first to feature a fully-automatic gun.

Ramping-mode guns are guns that can fire up to 15 shots per second. This type of gun prevents abuse from semi-automatic guns or fully-automatic guns that can shoot more and can cause injury to other people.

These types of guns are used in different kinds of situations, usually to prove who the best player in a tournament is. Pump action guns promote using stealth and are desired by experienced players because of the challenge they present. Semi-automatic guns are used by players hoping to improve their shooting accuracy and since they do not have to pump every shot, they are able to concentrate more on their targets. Fully automatic guns are used by infantry and middle men in attacking another team’s base. Ramping-mode guns are for controlled environments where there is a specific rule to prevent injury and other problems.

The most practical wireless accessories

Cell phone accessories are becoming remarkably popular, and, rather than add-ons, have nearly become staples in the realm of wireless phones. Such a broad range of accessories is available today that it is often difficult to choose what to buy. You may get sensible products that will make your cell phone usage more convenient, or you can get customized items that give your phone more personality. You may also choose to get a variety of accessories to suit your individual needs.

The most useful cell phone accessories are the car charger, headset and camera feature. When you are driving, it is a comfort to know that you can keep your phone's battery fully charged. You would not want you or your loved ones to be away from home without a phone in case of emergencies. Also, you would not want to have a call cut short because the battery ran out.

The headset is a very useful wireless accessory because it is the safest way to drive while also talking on your wireless phone. Industry studies have proven that reaction time and driver awareness is improved by using headsets compared with holding the phone to the ear. With a built-in digital camera, you have the ability to take photographs and send it to an email address or another phone. You could not appreciate how fun and useful this feature can be until you've tried it yourself.

Wireless accessories that make your phone more fun include faceplates, musical ringtones, cell phone cases and games. You may be able to purchase a faceplate in almost any design from your favorite football team to your favorite flower. You may even download your favorite song as your customized ringtone. You can truly adapt your phone to suit your personality and all that is needed are some wireless accessories.

Good reasons to use bad credit credit cards

It won't be long until the United States at long last progresses to a cashless system of purchases. Every year online buying and new payment methods are becoming a part of the American way of life. Even now it is possible to pay almost any bill online or even set up automatic payments where the account holder need not even raise a finger. While obviously this isn't yet foolproof, the convenience often outweighs any dangers that are present. The question becomes, how can a person with bad credit be apart of these new systems?

Credit cards with low APR are for the most part unavailable to consumers that have bad credit. With the nation as a whole moving into an area of poor credit however, more financial institutions are making products available for this growing market. Credit cards for bad credit are becoming more common, and the availability is quickly spreading.

These bad credit credit cards can be a decisive advantage to consumers with a poor credit history, but if managed badly can do more harm than good. While some people have bad credit as a result of unemployment or illness, most consumers simply manage their finances badly. Bad credit cards handled poorly will keep a credit rating low, or make it worse.

Bad credit cards can be used in the following ways to increase a consumer's credit rating:

Monthly Use – Make at least one purchase each month on the credit card, and pay the balance off entirely. This offers a consistent flow of credit reporting on your account. This consistency is what creditors are looking for in a good customer.

Keep a small balance – Although any financial expert worth talking too will say to pay off your credit card balances as fast as possible, there can be a benefit from carrying one. Credit companies like customers to carry a balance for obvious reasons, so they may increase your balance because of this. DO NOT carry a balance that will cause you to get behind in payments due to high APR.

Charge less than half your available credit – The more debt incurred on credit cards, the less credit worthy you are. A safe point is less than half of your available credit limit across all open credit accounts.

It has become common for creditors to sell customer accounts to other credit companies as credit worthiness changes. This may have already happened to you and you were simply unaware of why. In 2005 Providian sold off much of it's customer base to Washington Mutual. As a customer becomes more credit worthy, they become more valuable to many creditors. To make a profit, some bad credit credit companies will help customers build their credit up, and then sell them to another company. This can be a good thing for the consumer as well, as their new account will probably have better APR.

It is possible to have credit that is so bad that even companies that specialize in bad credit credit cards won't issue you a card. Once this point is reached, possibly through bankruptcy, debit cards and prepaid credit cards become the only options left. Debit cards work the same as credit cards when making a purchase for the most part, and they can't get you into any further credit problems. Prepaid cards work exactly like a credit card, however money must be deposited into the prepaid credit card account before they can be used.

With all of these options open to consumers, there something out there that will allow everyone to take part in the modern economy. With careful effort over time, even the worst credit history can be repaired.

Novantrone

Novantrone

Novantrone is typically prescribed as chemotherapy for treating cancer. However its use in treating secondary - progressive, progressive - relapsing, and significantly worsening relapsing - remitting multiple sclerosis has been proven.

The Interferon Beta medications work by altering the immune system to slow down progression of the disease, and stave off disability. Novantrone works differently. It suppresses the immune system by killing off potentially abnormal T cells, be cells, and macrophages. It is thought that these cells contribute to the body's attack against the myelin sheath.

For MS patients, Novantrone is prescribed in amounts far less than those used to treat cancer. Treatments are shorter, spaced farther apart, and have fewer side effects. Since there is a limit of how much of this medication you can be given during your lifetime, be sure to tell your doctor if you have ever been treated with chemotherapy for cancer.

Typically, MS patients receive eight to 10 doses of Novantrone through an IV over two to three years

However, before starting treatment with Novantrone it is important talk to your doctor. Tell your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with heart disease, blood clotting problems, anemia, or liver disease. If you have ever been treated with any cancer chemotherapy, or radiation therapy is very important that you notify your doctor. In addition, tell your doctor if you have a low white blood cell count, unusual bleeding, or any known allergies. These conditions could affect your treatment with this medication.

All medications have side effects. Known serious side effects associated with Novantrone include congestive heart failure, leukemia, and some in problems.

Other side effects are the whites of the eyes turning blue, hair loss, an increased risk of infection due to a decrease in white blood cell count. In women Novantrone can cause monthly cycles stop while on the medication. In some women in this effect is permanent.

Aromatherapy revive your senses

The art of aromatherapy had been practiced since the earliest times. Strong evidences were found to link aromatherapy to ancient traditions. Though aromatic oils had been used to treat and cure various ailments and conditions for who knows how long, the formal study on their properties only started in the year 1928.

In it's simplest form, aromatherapy is the use of essential plant oils for therapeutic purposes. They are normally employed to relieve a person from stress and a variety of stress-related conditions. And also for promoting an individual's general well being and in invigorating the body and the psyche.

Aromatherapy works by inducing the olfactory nerve cells with aromatic oils, which then carries out the message to the limbic system in the brain. Limbic system is the part of the brain that is responsible for controlling memory and emotions.

Aromatherapy is concerned in both the workings of the physical and emotional aspects of the person under treatment. Physically, aromatherapy helps in relieving specific conditions trough the stimulation of the nervous, immune and circulatory system. In emotions however, they may evoke pleasant memories.

Yet, the medical circles do not agree if aromatherapy in itself is instrumental to the complete healing of a certain condition. But the idea of recovery through aromatherapy is widely accepted.

Essential Oils

Essential oils are derived from the distillation of the elements of a plant like the leaves, roots, flowers, stems and bark. They hold the true essence of the plants from which they originally came in high concentration. Though termed as oil, essential oils normally do not have the real properties of oil. Some essential oils are yellow like that of the lemongrass and orange and many are clear.

These oils are used in a variety of methods: through inhalation, by adding them in the bathwater and by the application of the diluted oil on the body.

The use of oil in aromatherapy is only restricted to those with unadulterated qualities. The purest of the essential oils alone have the therapeutic values.

The following is a list of the most common essential oils used in aromatherapy. Some of which are used as carrier oils (also known as vegetable oils or base oils):

- Almond, Sweet

- Apricot Kernel

- Avocado

- health clubs

- hospitals

- hospices and

- nursing homes.

In spite of the lack of formal research on aromatherapy therapists and European physicians are often prescribing certain aromatic oils for a range of complaints including colds and flu, insomnia, sinusitis, migraines, digestive problems and muscle pains. It must be understood though that aromatic oils must never be taken orally and should be first tested to determine the degree of skin's sensitivity to some oils.

Process and outcome in investing

Chapter 1

Be the House

Individual decisions can be badly thought through, and yet be successful, or exceedingly well thought through, but be unsuccessful, because the recognized possibility of failure in fact occurs. But over time, more thoughtful decision-making will lead to better overall results, and more thoughtful decision-making can be encouraged by evaluating decisions on how well they were made rather than on outcome.

--Robert Rubin, Harvard Commencement Address, 2001

Any time you make a bet with the best of it, where the odds are in your favor, you have earned something on that bet, whether you actually win or lose the bet. By the same token, when you make a bet with the worst of it, where the odds are not in your favor, you have lost something, whether you actually win or lose the bet.

--David Sklansky, The Theory of Poker

Hit Me

Paul DePodesta, a former baseball executive and one of the protagonists in Michael Lewis’s Moneyball, tells about playing blackjack in Las Vegas when a guy to his right, sitting on a seventeen, asks for a hit. Everyone at the table stops, and even the dealer asks if he is sure. The player nods yes, and the dealer, of course, produces a four. What did the dealer say? “Nice hit.” Yeah, great hit. That’s just the way you want people to bet -- if you work for a casino.

This anecdote draws attention to one of the most fundamental concepts in investing: process versus outcome. In too many cases, investors dwell solely on outcomes without appropriate consideration of process. The focus on results is to some degree understandable. Results -- the bottom line -- are what ultimately matter. And results are typically easier to assess and more objective than evaluating processes.

But investors often make the critical mistake of assuming that good outcomes are the result of a good process and that bad outcomes imply a bad process. In contrast, the best long-term performers in any probabilistic field -- such as investing, sports-team management, and pari-mutuel betting -- all emphasize process over outcome.

Jay Russo and Paul Schoemaker illustrate the process-versus-outcome message with a simple two-by-two matrix. Their point is that because of probabilities, good decisions will sometimes lead to bad outcomes, and bad decisions will sometimes lead to good outcomes -- as the hit-on-seventeen story illustrates. Over the long haul, however, process dominates outcome. That’s why a casino -- “the house” -- makes money over time.

The goal of an investment process is unambiguous: to identify gaps between a company’s stock price and its expected value. Expected value, in turn, is the weighted-average value for a distribution of possible outcomes. You calculate it by multiplying the payoff (i. e., stock price ) for a given outcome by the probability that the outcome materializes.

Perhaps the single greatest error in the investment business is a failure to distinguish between the knowledge of a company’s fundamentals and the expectations implied by the market price. Note the consistency between Michael Steinhardt and Steven Crist, two very successful individuals in two very different fields:

I defined variant perception as holding a well-founded view that was meaningfully different from market consensus . . . Understanding market expectation was at least as important as, and often different from, the fundamental knowledge.

The issue is not which horse in the race is the most likely winner, but which horse or horses are offering odds that exceed their actual chances of victory . . . This may sound elementary, and many players may think that they are following this principle, but few actually do. Under this mindset, everything but the odds fades from view. There is no such thing as “liking” a horse to win a race, only an attractive discrepancy between his chances and his price.

A thoughtful investment process contemplates both probability and payoffs and carefully considers where the consensus -- as revealed by a price -- may be wrong. Even though there are also some important features that make investing different than, say, a casino or the track, the basic idea is the same: you want the positive expected value on your side.

From Treasury to Treasure

In a series of recent commencement addresses, former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin offered the graduates four principles for decision making. These principles are especially valuable for the financial community:

1. The only certainty is that there is no certainty. This principle is especially true for the investment industry, which deals largely with uncertainty. In contrast, the casino business deals largely with risk. With both uncertainty and risk, outcomes are unknown. But with uncertainty, the underlying distribution of outcomes is undefined, while with risk we know what that distribution looks like. Corporate undulation is uncertain; roulette is risky.

The behavioral issue of overconfidence comes into play here. Research suggests that people are too confident in their own abilities and predictions. As a result, they tend to project outcome ranges that are too narrow. Over the past seventy-five years alone, the United States has seen a depression, multiple wars, an energy crisis, and a major terrorist attack. None of these outcomes were widely anticipated. Investors need to train themselves to consider a sufficiently wide range of outcomes. One way to do this is to pay attention to the leading indicators of “inevitable surprises.”

An appreciation of uncertainty is also very important for money management. Numerous crash-and-burn hedge fund stories boil down to committing too much capital to an investment that the manager overconfidently assessed. When allocating capital, portfolio managers need to consider that unexpected events do occur.

2. Decisions are a matter of weighing probabilities. We’ll take the liberty of extending Rubin’s point to balancing the probability of an outcome (frequency) with the outcome’s payoff (magnitude). Probabilities alone are insufficient when payoffs are skewed.

Let’s start with another concept from behavioral finance: loss aversion. For good evolutionary reasons, humans are averse to loss when they make choices between risky outcomes. More specifically, a loss has about two and a half times the impact of a gain of the same size. So we like to be right and hence often seek high-probability events.

A focus on probability is sound when outcomes are symmetrical, but completely inappropriate when payoffs are skewed. Consider that roughly 90 percent of option positions lose money. Does that mean that owning options is a bad idea? The answer lies in how much money you make on the 10 percent of options positions that are profitable. If you buy ten options each for $1, and 9 of them expire worthless but the tenth rises to $25, you’d have an awful frequency of success but a tidy profit.

So some high-probability propositions are unattractive, and some low-probability propositions are very attractive on an expected-value basis. Say there’s a 75 percent probability that a stock priced for perfection makes its earnings number and, hence, rises 1 percent, but there’s a 25 percent likelihood that the company misses its forecast and plummets 10 percent. That stock offers a great probability but a negative expected value.

3. Despite uncertainty, we must act. Rubin’s point is that we must base the vast majority of our decisions on imperfect or incomplete information. But we must still make decisions based on an intelligent appraisal of available information.

Russo and Schoemaker note that we often believe more information provides a clearer picture of the future and improves our decision making. But in reality, additional information often only confuses the decision-making process.

Researchers illustrated this point with a study of horse-race handicappers. They first asked the handicappers to make race predictions with five pieces of information. The researchers then asked the handicappers to make the same predictions with ten, twenty, and forty pieces of information for each horse in the race. Even though the handicappers gained little accuracy by using the additional information, their confidence in their predictive ability rose with the supplementary data.

4. Judge decisions not only on results, but also on how they were made. A good process is one that carefully considers price against expected value. Investors can improve their process through quality feedback and ongoing learning.

One of my former students, a very successful hedge fund manager, called to tell me that he is abolishing the use of target prices in his firm for two reasons. First, he wants all of the analysts to express their opinions in expected value terms, an exercise that compels discussion about payoffs and probabilities. Entertaining various outcomes also mitigates the risk of excessive focus on a particular scenario -- a behavioral pitfall called “anchoring.”

Second, expected-value thinking provides the analysts with psychological cover when they are wrong. Say you’re an analyst who recommends purchase of a stock with a target price above today’s price. You’re likely to succumb to the confirmation trap, where you will seek confirming evidence and dismiss or discount disconfirming evidence.

If, in contrast, your recommendation is based on an expected-value analysis, it will include a downside scenario with an associated probability. You will go into the investment knowing that the outcome will be unfavorable some percentage of the time. This prior acknowledgement, if shared by the organization, allows analysts to be wrong periodically without the stigma of failure.

Prioritizing Process

The investment community, because of incentives and measurement systems, is too focused on outcome and not enough on process. In Rubin’s words:

It’s not that results don’t matter. They do. But judging solely on results is a serious deterrent to taking risks that may be necessary to making the right decision. Simply put, the way decisions are evaluated affects the way decisions are made.

How to avoid hard drive overheating

Even though the hard drive stores data, it isn’t perfect by any means. Hard drive failure is very common with all computers, with no real way to prevent it. Although there are several different reasons why a hard drive can fail, the most common is overheating. Viruses and crashes are common as well, along with theft and accidental deletion.

With the older style and mechanics of hard drives, the RPM speed was low, meaning that the drives wouldn’t overheat. The hard drives we use now days, have speeds between 7,200 and 10,000 RPM, meaning that they can get quite hot when they start working. Computers of this day and age come with fans to cool everything down, with most hard drives including temperature sensors as well, so you can keep track of just how hot your hard drive becomes.

With hard drives today, overheating is a very common problem. The faster hard drives come with speeds of 10,000 RPM, which can make the temperature soar above 70 degrees F, really heating things up inside the drive. The mechanics on the inside are built to withstand the heat, although if things become too hot, you’ll encounter problems. If a drive becomes too hot and ends up losing the data, it may be next to impossible to retrieve the information - no matter how good your data recovery specialists may be.

One area that suffers from the drive overheating is the platters, which are magnetic media. Platters are what carry the data throughout the hard drive. Platters are constructed from optical glass, aluminum, or ceramic and normally coated with a layer of magnetic material. Once the hard drive begins to heat up, the platters will start to expand, which changes their size. When this happens, the magnetic surface on the platters will get destroyed, which results in a loss of data. If the physical area of the platters are damaged, it will result in unreadable sectors.

Other areas of the hard drive that can be damaged due to overheating are the read and write heads, head actuator, and the controller chip. Hard drives are very sophisticated pieces of hardware, and can’t handle overheating. The read and write heads are a common example, as they can easily render the drive useless if they become damaged.

To prevent your hard drive from overheating, you should always make sure that it is cooled properly and well ventilated. You can always get additional fans and coolers, which will improve both ventilation and the flow of air in your computer. You can buy fans and coolers at very affordable prices, which makes them an ideal investment for keeping your hard drive or hard drives cool.

You can also get software that monitors the temperature of your hard drive as well. Whether it’s software, or additional fans, you should always ensure that your hard drives are kept cool. By keeping them cool, you’ll greatly reduce the amount of crashes. You’ll also increase the stability of your hard drive as well, which will make your entire computer perform much better.

Favorite flavored coffees and tips for coffee retailers

In the early ‘80s, coffee flavor choices were minimal and less-than-desirable to consumers. There was amaretto, irish cream, brandy, vanilla and chocolate flavored coffees sold in small quantities to local specialty roasters. The aroma to these early flavored coffees was slightly “medicinal.” The taste of flavored coffees was not all that enjoyable.

When nut flavors were introduced in the mid-to-late ‘80s, things changed. Flavors like hazelnut, vanilla nut, nut cream, southern pecan emerged. These new flavors offered sweet, creamy and of great importance aromatic alternatives. This introduction of nut flavors and other flavors with sweet and creamy profiles began to contribute to the overall success of flavored coffees in the specialty industry. The flavors attracted new customers for retailers. Flavors gave small regional roasters within the burgeoning specialty coffee industry a special competitive edge over larger roasters who did not offer flavored coffees. Small coffee shops as well began to brew and sell hot and cold variations of flavored coffees to help give themselves a competitive edge. The sweet, creamy and aromatic coffee beverages seem to attract a consumer who did not like the regular brewed coffee, but still wanted to be part of the “gang” of those who went to the coffee house for socialization and coffee.

By 1988 top sellers on the flavored coffee market were:

•Hazelnut

•Vanilla

•Chocolate

•Amaretto

•Irish crиme

Currently, top sellers are similar to those in the ‘80s and include:

•Vanilla

•Chocolate

•Hazelnut

•Irish crиme

Caramel is popular in the U. S. and Amaretto sells well in Europe. According to Colleen Roberts, director of sales at Flavor Dynamics, Hazelnut, Vanilla and Irish Crиme continue to hold their position as the most popular flavors in the flavored coffee industry. Some flavored coffee retailers offer the top three and select flavor profiles that might represent the season, such as, chocolates in the first quarter and spice flavors in throughout the fall.

If a roaster wants to limit the number of flavorings bought, be sure to purchase the top five flavors. Flavor and Fragrance Specialties’ top five coffee flavors represent a combination of the traditional and new, hazelnut, vanilla-french vanilla, vanilla nut cream, pumpkin spice and blueberry cobbler.

Simple application methods make it possible for any small roaster/retailer to inexpensively begin flavoring coffees. The process can start with a small drum mixer similar to a cement mixer. Line the mixer to avoid cross contamination (of the flavors). If proper precautions are taken, contamination of green beans should not be a problem for the small roaster/retailer. The cost of flavoring is about 25-50 cents/lb.

Pricing of flavors in the flavored coffee industry has become very competitive as more and more flavor houses offer this type of product, which gives the roaster/retailer a greater opportunity to shop and compare quality and pricing. The roaster/retailer should know their regional flavor profiles and demographics to select the best options from a flavor listing. Some flavors are more popular in specific regions.

Vanilla and hazelnut flavored coffees have been favorites with consumers for decades. These flavors continue to appear year in and year out on supermarket shelves.

In the ‘90s, Starbucks educated the American consumer about coffee beverages with a written and illustrated guide to the differences between lattes, cappuccinos, espresso, etc. It was a simple, well-written piece that enabled almost anyone to walk into Starbucks, order whatever they chose, and know what it actually was they were ordering. Consumers could also order a shot of flavored syrup to cover the taste of the coffee, which made the dairy-based beverage sweeter. The consumer could learn how to pronounce what they were ordering without embarrassment.

Today, Starbucks is on almost every corner. A new one just appeared in my immediate area. Flavored coffees are an everyday staple for supermarkets and convenience stores all over the nation.
